My Wonderland ♥

the voice that sings of a forgotten land
When I run through the deep dark forest long after this begun
Where the sun would set, trees were dead and the rivers were none
And I hope for a trace to lead me back home from this place
But there was no sound, there was only me and my disgrace

ASOIAF: The Land beyond the Wall
The Land beyond the wall, inhabited by Wildlings/Free Folk, is the northernmost area of Westeros, stretching to the unmapped Land of Always Winter.

Much of the land remains uncharted and uninhabitable, and the climate is harsh and bitter all year round. The Free Folk live in small villages and tribes.

ASOIAF: The Neck
The Neck is a region of Westeros inhabited by the Crannogmen, ruled by House Reed. Some crannogmen possess the gift of 'greensight' which enables them to have prophetic 'green dreams'.

The neck is the narrowest part of the continent, and is mostly swamp and marshland. The crannogmen are said to live in dwellings made of reeds, on floating islands called crannogs.

Geography of A Song of Ice and Fire

10 items - 10 months ago - 167 views
A collection of sets inspired by various regions of the fictional world created by George RR Martin in his 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

The sets are based on the pictures I have in my mind of each destination, rather than on the HBO series.

Most of the series takes place in the fictional continent of Westeros, comprised of: the North, the Riverlands, the Iron Islands, the Vale, the Reach, the Westerlands, the Crownlands, the Stormlands, Dorne and the land beyond the Wall. Other notable locations include the Neck, Bear Island and the isle of Tarth.

The other known continents in the series are Essos and Sothoros. Very little is known of Sothoros, but the nine free cities and the Dothraki sea are located in Essos.
